Every Wednesday beginning April 3, 2013


10 am to 4 pm

The following are some of the things you will have an option to learn about:

  1. Setting up an email account so you can keep in touch with friends and relatives
  2. How to navigate around the internet and world wide web
  3. Simple Word or Excel documents, ie:  letters, spreadsheets

Drop by any Wednesday and ask our volunteers, Jackie or Kathleen any questions you may have and let them know what you are interested in so future classes can be set up.    Mendy is our volunteer that is in the center on Tuesday mornings, in case you want to stop by and talk to her about the Wednesday lab.   As the need exist we will expand our computer lab hours.     Phone Contact: 719-347-2662.

Living Well with a Disability is a wellness workshop that encourages participants to develop healthy living habits and live rich, meaningful lives.

We invite you to join other people with disabilities to:

  • Find motivation and set goals that lead to a healthy and rewarding lifestyle
  • Empower and encourage each other while problem solving and establishing a support system
  • Address aspects of physical, mental and emotional health that may create challenges in living independently

Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1

2-1-1 is a free, confidential information and referral hotline connecting people in need with the health and human services they require.

Each year thousands of Coloradans receive referrals for help with utilities, rent, food/meals, clothing, shelter or transitional housing, healthcare, dental care or assistance with numerous other challenges.

PPUW 2-1-1 partners with community non-profit agencies serving El Paso, Teller, Chaffee, Cheyenne, Lincoln and Park counties to help you find the help and services you need.

Community Specialists are available 5 days a week to serve those in our community seeking information and referral.

Starting May 1, 2013 new Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1 hours will be Monday through Friday 7:00am-6:00pm.

Simply dial 2-1-1 or search our online database to get connected and get answers.

In the Community

In addition to information and referral, 2-1-1 is very active in the community through Emergency Management, Adult Resources for Care and Help and the Emergency Evacuation Registry.
