According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in 4 Americans live with a mental disorder, estimates indicate that nearly two-thirds of all people with a diagnosable mental illness do not seek treatment, especially people from diverse communities. Lack of knowledge, fear of disclosure, rejection of friends, and discrimination are a few reasons why people with mental illness don’t seek help.
We provide client-focused, goal-driven & evidence-based treatment designed to achieve immediate results and long-term recovery. We offer a full complement of support services to assist with transition & readjustment both individually & through a comprehensive family care model. Access to funding and/or discounts for essential services are offered depending upon family size & income.

We provide services for individuals with short & long term disabilities such as Information & Referral, Benefits Assistance, Employment Services, Independent Living Skills Classes, Peer Support, among other services. TESSA strives to realize our vision of a safe community free of personal violence for all in a variety of ways. We:
- Provide immediate safety for women, children and other victims escaping abuse through our safehouse.
- Empower survivors through our advocacy and counseling programs.
- Create a safer future through education and outreach to schools, businesses, and other organizations.
The rural outreach services include advocacy, safety planning, help with protection order paperwork, court accompaniment, referrals, individual and group counseling, and outreach in the form of educational presentations and tabling events.
